Suspension of Activities due to Coronavirus
The Society’s Council regrets to inform members that all activities are still suspended due to the outbreak of Coronavirus. With the recent publication of the Government’s road map for exiting Covid restrictions we will seek to restart activities at the earliest opportumity. The Council are extremely keen to facilitate member activities and get people together again.
However, subject to ongoing guidance, we are now in the process of putting together a calendar of events for 2021. Plans are being made for the Tartan Ball in November 2021 and the Burns Supper in January 2022 and other popular events such as the walk and the Golf tournament and dinner. Please watch out for emails about these in Spring 2021.
The Council has agreed that the £10 membership for the year 2020 will be waived and that members who have already paid their membership are given the option of donating it to the Society, rolling it forward to 2021 or having the £10 deducted from the cost of a function. Members will receive an email about this. Please inform the treasurer of your intention.
Finally, if any members are finding it difficult to manage during lockdown with things like shopping, transport for medical appointments etc. please let our Secretary, Sharon Booth-Howie know and we will see how we can be of help.
Meanwhile, The Council wish all Members and their families good health in these difficult times.
Stay safe everyone!
